In this research project Renée Goethijn explores how she can give a scenographic expression of the contemporary fast-transforming world and the human beings trying to keep up. Together with scenographer Stefan Jakiela, they explore the impact of man over the environment and vice versa. Influenced by sci-fi futuristic images and predictions, Renée and Stefan reflect upon the causes and consequences of climate change and robotisation. They design an amazing landscape that moans under automation and ruthless exploitation.
